Alice and the trio take you on a colourful journey into the Brazilian Songbook, performing popular hits such as ‘Agua de beber’, ‘Insensatez’ and ‘Triste’ alongside hidden gems such as ‘Olha pro Ceu’ and ‘Vida bela’ (written by a young Tom Jobim before going on to be regarded as the father of Bossanova).
Delving into Musica Populàr Brasilera (MPB) they’ll perform stylish and unexplored songs from national icon Fatima Guedes (‘Flor de Ir embora’, 'Meninas da cidade') as well as from global stars Gilberto Gil and Elis Regina ('Madalena’, ‘Ladera da Preguiça’, ‘Marambaia').
A versatile, multi-lingual singer and trained classical pianist, Alice spent time in Floranopolis and Rio immersed in Bossanova and Musica Populàr Brasilera - cementing a life-long love of Brazilian music - before moving to settle in the UK, where since 2005 she’s worked as a recording artist and performer, appearing at top music venues such as Ronnie Scotts, Café Zedel and Guanabara.

Established on the extensively redeveloped site of the former Jamie’s Italian, Yalm has revitalised the historic space in The Royal Arcade, using it as an opportunity to showcase Norfolk’s finest food producers in a relaxed setting.
