Alice in Wonderland / Vortex AuditionsA.V.A. Ballet Theatre will hold open auditions for its upcoming production of Alice in Wonderland, a classic favorite choreographed by artistic director Alexander Van Alstyne.
Auditions for Vortex, the ballet that rocks, will be held the same day.
Auditions will be held Saturday, April 20, 2024 at the Conservatory of Movement 73 West Plumb Lane Reno, Nevada 89509 Auditions will be held at the following times:
Alice in Wonderland
• 8 and 10 years of age – 1:30pm – 2:00pm
• 11and 12 years of age – 2:00pm-2:30pm
• 13 and 14 years of age – 2:30pm to 3:00pm
• Corps de ballet (Must be en pointe) 3:00pm to 3:30pm
Vortex
• 3:30pm to 4:00pm - Strong en Pointe Artistic Dancers
$20.00 Audition fee per person
Rehearsals begin the first of June for Vortex
Rehearsals will begin the first of August for Alice in Wonderland
Vortex will be performed July 19th and 20th at the Robert Z. Hawkins Amphitheater at Bartley Ranch.
Alice in Wonderland will be performed at the Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts September 21st and 22nd with the Reno Philharmonic Orchestra.
