Alice is a soulful, earth-centered, peace-making songwriter based in southern Oregon (originally from New Jersey) with a wonderful voice and great guitar skills. She's prolific and has a large number of albums going back decades, both originals and covers across several genres. At times, I hear a touch of Roberta Flack or Phoebe Snow in her beautiful voice. Alice typically tours all over the Western US. Environmentalism and Earth-care with a spiritual center are hallmarks of her work, and you can hear in it, also, her connection to indigenous people. Bonnie Raitt says "Alice's music has that great combination of earthiness and groove that keeps it funky from the inside out. She's for real." Alice will stop in Syracuse for an acoustic folk concert on her Northeast tour. Local favorite Colleen Kattau will open and join Alice in harmony! Suggested donation is $20 at the door (more, less, none turned away), at www.alicedimicele.com, or on Humanitix. For more info, contact Michael Messina-Yauchzy at 315-663-5640 or [email protected].
