"Alice by Heart" is a musical by Steven Sater and Jessie Nelson, with music by Duncan Sheik, inspired by "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland". It tells the story of Alice Spencer, a young girl in London during the Blitz, who uses the world of Wonderland to cope with the harsh realities of war and loss. The musical explores themes of first love, coming to terms with loss, and finding the courage to move forward.
