William Glennon's original approach to this Arabian Nights tale is fast-moving, action-filled and full of surprises and humour. TheatreWorks’ production also includes elements of pantomime and audience participation.Ali Baba spies a group of thieves who, after saying magic words, cause a strange rumbling sound to come not from the sky but from beneath the earth. This causes a barren hillside to open and reveal a cave loaded with jewels and loot.
Aided by friends, especially the very bright Morgiana, Ali Baba devises a unique plan to capture once and for all the bumbling cut-throats and unmask their leader. Who will it turn out to be?
