Well-loved Jazz singer Ali Affleck returns to the Edinburgh Jazz 'n Jive Club with her Gin Mill Genies. Expect lots of hot swinging tunes, great for listening and suitable for dancing Lindy Hop, Foxtrot, Balboa, Jive Collegiate Shag and Blues!The line-up for the evening is Ross Milligan on banjo and guitar, Owen MacDonald on double bass, Dick Lee on reeds and Mike Summers on cornet. And, of course, Ali Affleck, as vocalist and washboardist!
The Edinburgh Jazz 'n Jive Club offers on Fridays live Jazz music in a relaxed club house atmosphere, with a bar and an excellent, wooden dance floor. The music is generally suitable for dancing Foxtrot and Swing (Lindy Hop, Shag, Balboa). Come along to listen to superb Jazz and to dance the evening away!
No need to book in advance, just come along! The entry fee of £10 (£9 for members) can be paid at the door by card, cash or cheque. The main entrance is from Bangholm Terrace, with step-free access from Warriston Gardens corner Inverleith Row.
