Iconic Midwest emo/math outfit, Algernon Cadwallader, returned in 2025, with their first new album in 14-years. ’Trying Not To Have a Thought (2025) isn’t just their first album since ‘Parrot Flies’ (2011). It’s also their first with their original lineup since their seminal debut, ’Some Kind of Cadwallader’ (2008). Algernon Cadwallader have garnered a unique cult legacy that welcomes a convergence of punk-lifers and fresh-faced teens.
