The Alf Dick Classic, run by the Canterbury Branch, is an event for pre 1990 boats and those with historical significance. The event starts with a briefing at Springfield Adventure Park at 9:30, followed by a cruise to Walkers Pool for lunch. The event has had over 30 classic boats participate in previous years, and the scenery is described as 'amazing'. There is also a Jet Boat World show and shine on the Saturday, making for a full weekend of nostalgic jet boating. There is a $10 launching fee at Springfield Adventure Park.
