Join Alexandria Celebrates Women for ACW Salon, a monthly gathering of leading women thinkers and changemakers in an informal setting designed to spark conversation and collaboration.
The October Salon takes place on Friday, October 11 and will feature National Breast Center Foundation Executive Director Martha Carucci, Neighborhood Health Women's Health Program Manager Miriam Chaponniere, and Nueva Vida Executive Director Astrid Jimenez, Esq. This important discussion will be moderated by retired Visit Alexandria President & CEO Patricia Washington.
"These women are leading the fight against breast cancer in Alexandria -- bringing prevention, health, and hope to all communities in our City," said Alexandria Celebrates Women president Pat Miller.
The event is free and open to all, and takes place at The Hub at Canal Center, located at 99 Canal Center in Old Town North. Networking begins at 6:30 p.m. and the program will run from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Alexandria Celebrates Women (ACW) is a volunteer-run, 501(c)(3) charitable non-profit organization with a two-fold purpose: to raise needed funds for the Alexandria Domestic Violence Safehouse and to recognize the accomplishments and contributions of Alexandria, Virginia’s women of the past, present and future.
