Buxton Fire Brigade will be at Windarra Park, 1852 Maroondah Highway, Buxton for the 2025 Alexandra & District Open Gardens weekend from 10:00am to 4:00pm on Saturday, 25 October and Sunday, 26 October. Windarra Park is a large country garden of five acres that presents like a park with extensive number of very mature trees providing welcome shade in the summer and a kaleidoscope of colour during Autumn. The property is located just south of Buxton and is easily reached from Melbourne, Marysville, or Alexandra along the Maroondah Highway.
Brigade members will be on-site to enage with the public with a sausage sizzle from 11:00am through to 2:00pm each day. It will also be an opportunity for people to talk all things fire safety; with a focus on preparing your property ahead of what is forecast to be a very hot and potentially dangerous Bushfire Season this year.
