Based out of Santa Cruz, the Alex Lucero Band is a Soul/Americana act with a serious following. Just last year, the band went on multiple tours to Europe and the East Coast, playing at legendary venues like The Bitter End and Stephen Talkhouse as well as headlining Americana festivals around the world. Front man and writer Alex Lucero has independently released 6 full length albums, one of which was recorded and produced by his good friend Adam Patterson with The Expendables. Alex and band have gone from supporting major acts (Michael McDonald, Chaka Khan, Pablo Cruise, Monophonics) to receiving headlining slots on main stages and festivals. Their most recent release was recorded at The Studio Nashville, home of The Wood Brothers and Avett Brothers, and features Wood Brothers’ musician Jano Rix on four tracks.
See them live at Almost Famous Wine Lounge, an award-winning tasting room and world-class music venue located in the heart of Livermore's urban wine, spirits and brewery district.
ABOUT ALEX LUCERO BAND
The Alex Lucero Band is a Soul/Americana touring act based out of Santa Cruz, CA. They have recently been placed in the top 3 for Whale Rock Music Festival's Battle of The Bands and were featured on the infamous Jam In the Van mobile recording studio. Just last year, the band went on multiple tours to Europe and the East Coast, playing at legendary venues like The Bitter End and Stephen Talkhouse as well as headlining Americana festivals around the world. Their unique genre makes them an amazing addition to any lineup whether they are laying down some heavy soul or boot stomping Americana. The Alex Lucero Band will be sure to stop you in your tracks and reel you into their amazing original compositions.
Since the beginning of his musical ventures, front man and writer Alex Lucero has independently released 6 full length albums, five of which are with The Band (previously named Live Again) and one of which is a solo album entitled “Shine” that was recorded and produced by his good friend Adam Patterson with The Expendables. Whether solo or accompanied with the band, all of Alex’s projects showcase his raw musical abilities, song crafting and passion.
His records have received a phenomenal local response enabling Alex to maintain a serious presence and following, playing weekly in both the San Francisco Bay Area and all over Santa Cruz County, averaging 300 shows a year! Alex and band have gone from supporting major acts (Michael McDonald, Chaka Khan, Pablo Cruise, Monophonics) to receiving headlining slots on main stages and festivals.
Their most recent release “Same Moon” was recorded at The Studio Nashville, home of The Wood Brothers and Avett Brothers, under producer Brook Sutton and features Wood Brothers’ drummer and multi-instrumentalist Jano Rix on four of the tracks. They are currently working on a new “Anthology” project.
