After a spectacular world premiere to over 20,000 people at his very own Big Feastival this summer, Blur’s Alex James will bring his groundbreaking live show Britpop Classical to TK Maxx Presents Southampton Summer Sessions 2026. With the city-centre summer concert series set to return for its third-year next year, Alex James’ Britpop Classical will take over Southampton’s Guildhall Square on 13 June 2026. James joins previously announced headliners Paul Weller, Billy Ocean and Pete Tong as the first wave of acts confirmed for the 2026 event. Bringing the biggest hits of the Britpop era to life with the epic scale of a full live orchestra, the one- of-a-kind live experience is created and performed by Blur bassist Alex James. The dynamic show takes the best songs from a golden age of British music — including classic tunes from Blur, Oasis, Pulp, Supergrass, The Verve and beyond — and performs them in a powerful symphonic format alongside guest vocalists from the London Concert Orchestra and the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra.
