Alex has just finished a tour of the couch and the local pub and is in Hobart, ready to perform some of his favourite jazz music. Alex, currently based in Melbourne has studied under Greg Spence, Paul Williamson, Gerard Presencer and a tree, a place which he has spent many hours of his early twenties napping in the heat of summer. Alex has performed with famous musicians such as Don Walker, Marcia Hines, Tones and I, as well as people who aren’t famous at all, which actually makes up the bulk of his career. Tonight he’ll be joined by:
Matthew Ives - Drums
Dan Sulzberger - piano
Jed Adams- Jazz bass
Jimmy Verrall - trumpet/flugelhorn
Tonight, he’ll play some Blue Note classics along alongside some of his least favourite jazz standards. BnB
