For nearly thirty years, Utah’s own “sonosopher” Alex Caldiero has been channeling Allen Ginsberg’s Howl—not just reading it, but invoking it. His performances are part ritual, part incantation: a makeshift altar, an image of Ginsberg, flowers laid in homage. Each time, the poem erupts into something alive, immediate, and unforgettable. At UMOCA, Caldiero returns to Howl for its 75th anniversary, joined by live, improvised music from Theta Naught and Iceburn Collective. Expect a night where poetry, sound, and spirit collide in celebration of one of the most iconic works of the 20th century.
