Alejandro Brittes is an accordionist, composer, researcher, and interpreter of Chamamé, a 400-year-old musical genre born out of the encounter between native Guaraní cultures and the Baroque musical influences brought by Jesuits during the colonial period. He is hailed by The Boston Globe as a “premier exponent of chamamé.”
