FUNDarte Flamenco Spain Arts and Culture (ex Casapatas) and FECACE present Alejandra de José Almarcha with bailaora Lucía Ruibal on Saturday November 5 at 7 p.m. and Sunday November 6 at 3 p.m. at the Miami Dade County Auditorium.
Alejandra's tour and album are tributes to the mother of guitarist José Almarcha a native of La Mancha Spain. The sudden and unexpected loss of his mother changed the way Mr. Almarcha composes and performs flamenco.
Alejandra is a personal and intimate album where memories reverberate within the flamenco themes developed by José Almarcha. Behind each shade are glimpses of his inner being personal history roots and identity. The result is an ideogram through musical sounds that evoke important memories places experiences and people that marked him and are part of the DNA that makes up his identity.
