Alebrijes en San Jose Walking Tours
Grab a cafecito and your walking shoes to join us on a stroll from San José State University to Plaza de Cesar Chavez to learn and see the mystical and mythological alebrijes on display.
First you’ll stop at the MLK Library to learn about the original artist of this folkloric art and how its popularity grew through a popular hollywood movie and see a curated display of alebrijes from a variety of artists. Then you’ll take a 8-10 minute walk to Plaza de Cesar Chavez to see the stunning giant Alebrijes en San Jose exhibit. This temporary exhibit features colorful 22 ft towering sculptures.
Guests can choose to leave or stay for a no-host lunch.
