OUR LAST EVENT AT THE BERKELEY ALEMBIC...We are moving to Arthaus Studios in Oakland in August onwards (2nd Fridays!). Come enjoy this gorgeous venue for one last time!
Fusion is a style of partner dancing that blends elements from various dance genres and values improvisation, musicality, and connection with the partner.😊NO experience or partner required for this event - come as you are, take the class, meet people at the tea lounge 🍵🫖, or stay on the dance floor until the end!
Co-hosted by GoenEvents, a dance organizer with focus on creating meaningful encounters, and The Berkeley Alembic, a nonprofit center committed to body-mind transformation, this event is designed to bring movers of all backgrounds together, uniting them in a ✨shared journey of creative expression✨.

7:30-8:30pm Class by Sienne & Sayaka💃 INCLUDED (FREE!) with admission
8:30-11:00pm Fusion Social with DJ's. Closing out earlier at 11pm so people can head to BAMF (https://bamf.dance/schedule2024) if they want to, and their social will go until 3:30am!

Fancy Moves You Can Do From The Sweetheart Position
by Sienne and Sayaka
While "the sweetheart position" may be a standard vocabulary in your Fusion dance, we want to introduce you a few very cool moves (borrowed from Bachata and Brazilian Zouk!) you can do out of this to hit the musical note right when you want to. Includes half-turn drills for everyone, and a quick review of how to get into sweetheart for those who need it, and we will mention some variations for those who are more experienced to add flare and fun!

*The Berkeley Alembic does not allow outside shoes or any shoes with heels. Flat inside dance shoes are allowed, but you may want to bring socks also for maximum spin-nability!
