This is a FREE Event!! At Vennture, we help people find meaningful participation in God’s redemptive story through their daily work – whether in a co-op in El Salvador or on a job site in New Brunswick. We believe work is more than compensation; it’s contribution. It’s an act of worship and a way to join in God’s renewing mission locally and globally.
Over the past year, we’ve been exploring what the intersection of faith and work might sound like in the context of worship. That led to a series of writing retreats with songwriters and worship leaders from Canada’s East Coast. The invitation was to grapple with what it could look like to create songs for the singing church that reflect how our work – whatever and wherever it is – has Kingdom value.
What’s emerged is Common Place Worship – a community of people committed to sharing a gift with the broader church. Songs for streets and sanctuaries alike, born out of the everyday yet rooted in eternity. Songs that echo the experiences of workers here in Canada and around the world, where Vennture and CBM come alongside business leaders and churches in Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
