The Canadian Institute of Resources Law in the Faculty of Law at the University of Calgary invites you to the following free, public legal education workshop:
Alberta Consumer Rights & the Role of the Service Alberta Appeal Board
In this presentation, Michael will discuss the rights of consumers in Alberta under the Consumer Protection Act, including door-to-door sales, prepayments to contractors, time share contracts consumer complaints and investigations. The workshop will include a discussion of the Consumer Bill of Rights, the consumer right to be informed, right to fair treatment and the right to take action when treated unfairly.
A question-and answer period will follow the presentation. Coffee and tea will be served.
