Join us for the 2025 Alaska Historical Society Annual ConferenceSeptember 24–27, 2025
University of Alaska Fairbanks AND Remote via Zoom
The Alaska Historical Society’s mission is to promote Alaska history through the exchange of ideas and information, encourage the preservation and interpretation of resources, and educate Alaskans about their heritage. One aspect of fulfilling this mission is gathering Alaskans to learn together from experts in different fields of history. Each year we fulfill this role by hosting an Annual Conference in a different part of Alaska, bringing together local, regional, and statewide history presentations and panels.
The 2025 Alaska History Conference theme, “Vital Lifelines in Alaska’s History,” commemorates the 100th anniversary of the Nome Serum Run, 50th anniversary of the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System, and the 70th anniversary of the start of the Constitutional Convention. Join us this year in Fairbanks for our annual conference to explore these themes and more.
The conference brings together historians, students, teachers, elected officials, and community members to share stories, research, and perspectives on Alaska’s rich and complex history. Expect engaging sessions, thought-provoking discussions, and opportunities to connect with people who care about Alaska’s past and future.
