The City of Alameda and The Design Team are kicking off a community workshop series for the new pool project. Three workshops will advance the community’s vision through the conceptual design process. By the final workshop we will have gathered the consensus needed for a preferred concept. The workshops will be held in person at the Albert. H. Dewitt Officers' Club (O'Club).
This round is your first chance to learn about the work to come. We will explore the project’s timeline, budget, size, scope, and potential programming. You’ll be able to meet and engage Alameda City Staff and the design team on a range of topics. This is also an early opportunity to share your dreams for the new Alameda Aquatic Center. From that point, the design team will move forward with a programming and conceptual design effort developing a draft program and two to three concept directions for presentation, comment, and critique at Community Workshop #2.

La Ciudad de Alameda y el equipo de diseño están iniciando una serie de talleres comunitarios para el nuevo proyecto de la piscina. Tres talleres promoverán la visión de la comunidad a través del proceso de diseño conceptual. Para el taller final, habremos reunido el consenso necesario para un concepto preferido. Esta ronda es su primera oportunidad de aprender sobre el proyecto. Exploraremos el línea de tiempo, el presupuesto, el tamaño, el alcance y la programación potencial del proyecto. Podrá conocer al personal de la ciudad de Alameda y al equipo de el equipo de diseño en una variedad de temas. Esta es también una oportunidad temprana para compartir sus sueños para el Nuevo Centro Acuático en Alameda. A partir de ese momento, el equipo de diseño avanzará con un esfuerzo de programación y diseño conceptual para desarrollar un programa preliminar y dos o tres instrucciones conceptuales para la presentación, comentarios y críticas en el Taller comunitario n.º 2.
