Building A Coordinated Community Response to Abuse in Later Life
Join us as we launch our community's efforst under the Office of Violence Against Women (OVW)- Abuse in Later Life Program grant. This event will bring together local agencies, organizations, and individuals to assist in recognizing each other's role in responding to abuse in later life. Develop or enhance a Coordinated Community Response (CCR) that is victim-centered, promotes victim safety, and increases offender accountability.
We are honored to partner with the National Clearinghouse on Abuse in Later Life (NCALL). Two national trainers (Victoria Ferguson-Young, M.Div and Martie Washington) will lead:
- Training on Abuse in Later Life
- A Case Review
- Engaging Community Partners
This is an important opportunity for community leaders, services providers, justice professionals, advocates, and individuals to come together, learn, and collaborate for the safety and dignity of older adults in our community.
