CZ🌕 Edison Filmhub ve spolupráci se studentským spolkem Madžlis uvádí třetí ročník Al Qamar: festival kinematografie, jídla a kultury Blízkého východu a severní Afriky! I tentokrát Al Qamar nabídne rozmanitý výběr filmů ze současnosti i historie regionu, lahodné tradiční jídlo, trhy s autentickými výrobky a nabitý doprovodný program včetně odborných diskuzí se speciálními hosty.
👀 Program je na světě a vstupenky jsou oficiálně v prodeji! Mezi hlavní lákadla letošního ročníku patří náš headliner, film Orli republiky od oceňovaného režiséra Tarika Saleha (Chlapec z nebe), závěrečný díl režisérovy „káhirské trilogie“, poté snímek Drobná nehoda íránské režijní superstar Džafara Panahího, oceněný Zlatou palmu v Cannes, a také film Do neznáma, nové působivé kriminální drama palestinsko-dánského režiséra Mahdiho Fleifela, které doplní také vystoupení pražského palestinského umělce Jeries Abu Jaber.

🌕 Edison Filmhub presents, in collaboration with the Madžlis Student Association, Al Qamar, a festival of film, food and culture from the Middle East & North Africa. Originally born under the blue supermoon, the festival is returning for its third edition and offers a diverse collection of classic and contemporary films, delicious traditional food, moonlight markets with priceless gifts from around the region, and discussions with special guests from the film industry and beyond.
👀 Our programme is up and tickets are officially on sale! Highlights this year include our headlining film, Eagles of the Republic, from award-winning director Tarik Saleh (Boy from Heaven), the final film in the director’s ‘Cairo Trilogy’, as well as Iranian superstar filmmaker Jafar Panahi’s Cannes Palme d’Or winner It Was Just an Accident, and To a Land Unknown, a moving new crime drama from Palestinian-Danish director Mahdi Fleifel, which will also include an emotional and engaging performance by Prague-based Palestinian artist Jeries Abu Jaber.
🥙 In addition to our wonderful film programme, expect insightful Q&As and discussions, and our annual Moonlight Markets in the Edison Cafe boasting gifts and delicious food from around the Middle East.
