Are you beginning to learn about agility and want an opportunity to try it out in a simulated agility trial setting? Can you and your canine partner run through a course with 10-13 jumps? If so, consider joining us for an Agility Course Test (ACT )Standard 1 and ACT Standard 2 event on January 24, 2025 at Talbot Kennel Club Training Center. $20 for first run and $15 for each additional run. Trial will be indoors in a climate-controlled environment on mats. Fun runs will also be offered at $15 for 70 seconds. Any dog can participate. Pre-entries close Jan 20, 2025. Late or day of ACT trial entries accepted if runs are still available.ACT is designed for the beginner level dog to show beginning sequencing and performance skills. There will be two rounds for ACT Standard giving the handler an opportunity to earn a new title. There will also b e an VMO at the trial so you can obtain an official AKC measurement.
ACT offers a great learning experience for both handler and dog. You will learn the basics of how an agility trial is run, how to enter events, the rules for ring, and so much more.
It proves to be a fun time for all.
All dogs aged 15 months and older are eligible to enter. The dog must be in good condition in order to participate. If you have an AKC registration number, you will be awarded an AKC title. You can register your dog by going to AKC.org. If you do not have a number, you can still participate.
