AIUSA 2022 Regional Activism Conference - Atlanta

For more than 40 years, Amnesty International USA has hosted regional conferences in cities across the country. Each fall, these conferences have provided a space for people to come together to increase knowledge, build skills, and exchange ideas and strategies for progressing a human rights agenda! We are excited to be hosting our first ever Hybrid Regional Activism Conference!

We will host our virtual conference via Whova while streaming from a test site with limited attendance from Atlanta, GA. If you are a local group, member leader, and or student group member in Georgia we invite you to join us in person.

Continuing our AGM theme of Resilient Activism, the Regional Activism Conference is a hybrid conference that will share the goal of all Regional Conferences to create a transformative experience focused on human rights education, skills-building, networking, and inspire action.

As activists, we will be challenged to initiate change within our own communities. This will only happen with you – we need you there!

This year’s Regional Activism conference offers 20 sessions which cover an array of human rights issues such as Ending Racial Discrimination & Ensuring Equality and Equity, Reproductive rights, Refugee and Migrant Rights, Ending Gun Violence and more.

Registration Deadlines

Registration will open on Tuesday, September 6th and will be available on this tab. Please note, while there are multiple deadlines for participation in specific governance sessions, there is only one conference registration required. Please note that this conference registration is for IN-PERSON attendance.

Subsidy Deadline: Tuesday October 4th 2022 5:00 PM ET

Our Member Services team is required to verify each individual’s membership status prior to the conference and will need lead time in order to do so. Please note, while there is no guarantee that you will be able to vote if you miss this deadline, our team will do its best to accommodate late registrations. There are two ticket options for the RAC'22. Either ticket will grant you access to the full 3-day conference.

Atlanta in-person RAC’22 Ticket

$25 – Student/Educator/Senior/Fixed-Income Ticket

$35 – General Admission Ticket

We are excited to be hosting the virtual aspect of the Regional Activism Conference on Whova! Once you register, you will receive an email with details on how to access the event page on Whova. Whova will host all virtual aspects of the conference including pre-recorded content, live sessions, discussion rooms, scheduling capabilities, and other opportunities for networking.
