Events: AIUB Presents Notre Dame Annual Science Festival 2024 & 34th GKC
1. Project Expo ‘24: Project Exhibition
In this event, participants will present their projects. The major objective of organizing this exhibition is to provide a platform and unleash the potential of students by showcasing their innovative projects. The project team can comprise a minimum of 2 members and maximum 3 members to participate in the Project Display Competition. The competition will be held in 2 rounds. One is the divisional round and finally the main round. Divisional round will take place online and the main round will be held on our college campus. The three categories on which the projects will be judged are:
• Jagadish Chandra Bose
• Jamal Nazrul Islam
• Nikola Tesla
The project will be divided into two category:
• Primary (6-8)
• Secondary (9-10)
• Higher Secondary (11-12 & HSC-24)
Participants are bound to follow any decision made by the authority of Notre Dame Science Club during the competition.
2. Art and Design ‘24
This segment includes:
• Wall Magazine and Scrapbook (School and College)
• Digital Poster Designing
• Conceptual Art
• Videography (Online)
3. Scholar Hunt ‘24
This segment will be divided into four categories for Olympiads:
• Elementary Level (Class 1-5)
• Junior Level (Class 6-8)
• Senior Level (Class 9-10)
• Intermediate Level (Class 11-12)
This segment includes:
• Fr Timm Memorial Science Olympiad
• Sci-Fi Story Writing
• Sci-Nime Quiz
• Extempore speech
4. Seconds to Beat ‘24: Rubik’s Cube Solving
This competition is designed to challenge the most accomplished Cube solvers in one of the most exhilarating emerging sports. The competition is for 3x3x3 Rubik’s Cube.
5. Sci-Venture ‘24
Hunt the Hidden
This is a team-based event. Each team will consist of 4 members. There is no group barrier. Anyone from any group (Science, Business Studies, and Humanities) can team up & participate.
There will be two rounds:
• Preliminary round
• Final round
6.A Mystery Event

7. Tech Con ‘24
This event includes:
• Robo Soccer
• Google It
• Web Page Designing
8. Public Event
This event includes:
• Public Quiz
Online Events (Held Virtually):
• Poster Designing: Participants must submit their digital posters by [submission deadline].
• Videography: Create a short scientific video and submit it by [submission deadline].
• Web Page Designing: Design a web page on a scientific theme and submit it by [submission deadline].
• Google It: A fast-paced online challenge to test your research skills!
N.B.: The Executive Committee reserves the right to modify the schedule as needed.
Event Rules & Guidelines
a) Project Expo 24
Project Exhibition: Participants will present their innovative projects in one of three categories:
• Jagadish Chandra Bose
• Jamal Nazrul Islam
• Nikola Tesla
There are two rounds in Project Expo 24 :
Divisional Round : Participants have to submit a short video recording on their project with a description paper which is called a scientific paper. Without the description paper, submission is considered to be incomplete and it will be cancelled. On the basis of video presentation and scientific paper , authority will select the projects to participate in the main round.
Video Duration : From 2 minutes to 3 minutes maximum.
N.B. Divisional round is only for the students outside Dhaka City.
Participants category:
• Primary (6-8)
• Secondary (9-10)
• Higher Secondary (11-12 & HSC-24)
b) Art & Design 24
• Wall Magazine & Scrapbook (School & College): Teams of up to two members can present a wall magazine or scrapbook on scientific themes. No fixed size requirements.
• Digital Poster Designing (Online): Submit science-themed posters in raw file format via email at [email protected] by…..
• Conceptual Art: Participants must create original hand-drawn conceptual artwork based on a given theme. Artworks will be displayed in the exhibition.
• Videography (Online): Submit a maximum 2-minute video on a scientific topic via email at [email protected] by……
c) Scholar Hunt 24
In Scholar Hunt 24, only the Sci Olympiad will take place in two rounds.One is divisional and the other is the main round. Divisional round is open for all.Partcipants can participate according to their categories. From these participants, authority will select a number of participants who can attend the final round.
N.B. Divisional round is only for the students outside Dhaka City.
• Science Olympiad: Physics, Chemistry, Math & Biology Olympiads will run simultaneously (2-hour duration). Prizes will be awarded based on overall performance.
• Olympiad Categories:
• Elementary (Class 1-5)
• Junior (Class 6-8)
• Senior (Class 9-10)
• Intermediate (Class 11-12)
• Sci-Fi Story Writing: Participants must craft a scientifically sound sci-fi story within 40 minutes.
d) Seconds to Beat 24
• Rubik’s Cube Solving: A thrilling challenge for the best solvers of 3x3x3 Rubik’s Cubes!
e) Sci-Venture 24
• Hunt the Hidden: A high-energy team-based event (4 members/team) with two rounds:
• Preliminary Round: A written test featuring riddles and problem-solving (20 minutes). The top 5 teams advance.
• Final Round: A campus-wide treasure hunt where teams must solve riddles, find hidden objects, and complete challenges within the given time. A unique tracking code will be assigned to each team. Notre Dame College students are not allowed to participate.
f) Tech Con 24
• Google It (Online): Participants will have 20 minutes to find answers to data-based questions using online search skills.
• Web Page Designing (Online): Teams (max 2 members) must design a scientifically themed web page and submit it via email at [email protected].
• Robo Soccer: Open-category event where teams of 2 members control robots manually using wireless communication (NRF, RF, Bluetooth, etc.).
g) Public Events
• Public Quiz: A timed Q&A challenge for all visitors.
• VR Gaming: An immersive virtual reality experience, open to everyone throughout the festival.
• AR Gaming: A cutting-edge augmented reality gaming session, open to everyone throughout the festival.
h) Science Club Convocation
To contribute to Bangladesh’s development, Notre Dame Science Club (NDSC) is bringing together all science clubs in Dhaka to discuss:
“How Every Science Club Can Contribute to Building a Smart Bangladesh with AI.”

Rules & Regulations
For Participants:
1. Participants must wear their school/college uniforms and carry their ID cards.
2. Carrying extra bags or materials unrelated to the event is strictly prohibited.
For Visitors:
1. Students must be in school/college uniforms, while guardians are required to bring their National ID cards.
2. Additonal bags or materials are not allowed inside the venue.
3. Visitors are kindly requested to cooperate with the Notre Dame Science Club authorities for the smooth execution of the festival.
