For World Kidney Day 2024 the World Kidney Day Steering Committee has embraced the theme “Kidney Health for All” – Advancing Equitable Access to Care and Optimal Medication Practices. This theme underscores a commitment to broadening education and awareness regarding effective symptom management and patient empowerment with the overarching aim of fostering engagement in life.
Amidst the critical need for preventative strategies against kidney disease and its progression it is imperative that patients afflicted with kidney disease—including those reliant on dialysis and transplantation—and their care partners receive robust support. This is particularly crucial during pandemics and other challenging times necessitating a unified and dedicated effort from the kidney care community to ensure that every individual affected by kidney disease feels supported and empowered.
