About this Event
The Aikido Association of America is pleased to announce an AAA seminar hosted by Jyushinkan Dojo (Aikido of Northern Utah).
Instructor
Sessions will be led by Brandon Nimz Sensei (sandan), President of the Aikido International Foundation, and dojo cho of Aikido of Northwest Kansas. Nimz Sensei has been teaching Aikido since 2007 and is in charge of instructional programs at Fort Hays State University, Wichita, Blue Rapids, and his own dojo in Hays, KS. Nimz Sensei has taught both internationally and in the US; his Aikido is primarily informed by senior instructors from the previous generation of the Aikido Association of America and from his instructor, Tatsuo Toyoda Sensei. Encouraged by his Sensei to go out and train with other groups and organizations, Nimz Sensei's Aikido also has elements from other associations and groups mixed in. Nimz Sensei was uchideshi (a live-in Aikido student) in Japan for a short time and also has trained for extended stays in other associations in other countries to further open up his understanding of the art.
