Join members, sponsors and friends of AIA Indianapolis for the February Program. The evening's presentation will focus on the legal side of Indiana's design and construction industry, as well as general liability insurance do's and don'ts.
Our presenters include:
Sonya Seeder, General Counsel, Guidon Design
Sonya provides strategic legal guidance and support to Guidon. She works directly with executives and project managers on a wide range of topics from corporate governance to risk management. Her position involves developing internal processes and trainings on all compliance issues, including licensing, federal small business and contract matters. With a background in municipal and architecture & engineering sectors, Sonya is well-positioned to provide strategic advice at all stages of project development. Sonya joined Guidon Design, AIA Indiana's 2024 Distinguished Firm Award winner, in June of 2024.
Holly Gil-Gaither, Professional Liability Agent, Walker Professional Insurance
Holly has been working with the local design community for over twenty years. She specializes in professional liability and property & casualty insurance products and risk management services for architects, engineers, land surveyors, interior designers and accountants primarily in Indiana, Kentucky, and Ohio. Providing insurability contract review services for clients to help protect them from uninsured claims and to help them get a fair agreement signed is also a specialty of Holly’s. Over the years, Holly has developed and delivered continuing education programs approved by AIA and ACEC in order to assist clients in reducing their insurance premiums and managing their risk. Walker Professional is a proud member of A/E ProNet and Holly is proud to serve on the Board of Directors. Will Kelly, Partner, Drewry Simmons Vornehm, LLC
Will concentrates his practice in the areas of construction and real estate law. He has experience representing a wide range of clients with drafting and negotiating construction and design contracts, real estate purchase agreements, land contracts, and lease agreements. Will also represents design professionals, contractors, owners, developers and insurers with construction, professional liability, and real estate matters, ranging from pre-litigation claims, loss prevention assistance, insurance coverage issues, mediation, arbitration, and litigated matters in state and federal court.
