About this Event

Hey AI and cancer biology enthusiasts!

Welcome to the first AI Cancer Bio Hackathon organized by the CRUK Cambridge Centre.

Location: Newnham College, Cynthia Beerbower room

Dates: 16th-18th of January 2025

(Challenges are given on the 16th of January at the kick-off event)

Your team will solve challenges over 36 hours and be able to participate in workshops.

No machine learning skills required. You will have be in a team with at least one ML engineer.


Hacking Day 1 (Friday 17th Jan 2025)

8:00 AM - 9:00 AM: Check-in/Coffee/Tea

9:00 AM - 09:20 AM: Refresher: Hackathon rules and guidelines explanation, last minute team formation.

09:30 AM - 10:30 AM Workshop on Polaris platform

10:30 AM - 11:30 AM: Workshop by Helical on their open source platform

1:30 PM Lunch

Continue hacking with teams O/N



Hacking Day 2 (Saturday 18th Jan 2025)

(coffee and tea from 8 AM)

12:00 PM Submission deadline

12:30 PM -1:30 PM Lunch and Judge deliberations

1:30 PM - 3:00 PM Presentations

3:00 PM-3:30 PM Judge deliberation

3:30 PM Prize ceremony

3:45 Concluding remarks
