We are running Artificial Intelligence workshops for kids ages 8 plus on Saturday 11th May from 1pm-2:30pm and 2:30pm-4pm. The cost is £20 per 1h 30 minutes workshop. Limited spaces available. Call on 01202 729206 to grab a space for your child!These workshops mark the start of a series of AI sessions where children will explore Artificial Intelligence (Al) by utilizing and tinkering with a variety of tools, games, and resources. Every session will teach something new and have different content. Even if you cannot book your child for all the workshop series, he/she will still benefit from attending individual sessions. Kids will acquire very helpful skills and concepts that will serve them well in the future and have fun in the process.
Throughout this series of sessions, kids will teach Al using image and voice recognition through Google's Teachable Machine that will allow them to control things in Scratch programs and on a micro:bit circuit board. Children will also explore Al through multiple interactive simulations, such as Quick Draw, Magic Sketch Pad, Evolution, and ArtBot.
Our teachers will also guide the kids through demonstrations of popular Al tools, such as ChatGPT and CrAlyon, that are intended for users who are 13+.
The culminating project in this series of workshops will allow the kids to create their own Al project in which they get to select their own input, model states, and output.
Workshop Series Goals:
• Learned about different types of Al tools, such as ChatGPT and Google's Teachable Machine. Explored a variety of ways to teach Al, including text, speech, and images.
• Created interactive projects and games that respond to different input based on how the Al was trained.
• Seen and discussed the power of Al along with the ethical use of Al in real life.
• Have lots of fun!
