About this Event
Tired of “AI” talks that are all about prompt engineering and vibe coding? Join us for a three-part series on how neural networks are architected, built, and deployed. Light refreshments will be provided for this evening of deep learning (see what we did there?) and networking with other AI tech enthusiasts.
Across three sessions, we’ll move from fundamentals to cutting-edge applications. In Part I, we’ll explore the evolution of neural networks from foundational concepts to advanced architectures, then deploy a LLM that predicts diagnostics of medical conditions using Hugging Face and Google Vertex AI.
Topics include:
1. Foundations
a. Multilayer Perceptron
b. Loss Function
2. Transformers
a. Input Embedding and Positional Encoding
b. Multi-Head Self-Attention
c. Add & Layer Norm
d. Position-wise Feedforward Network
e. Stacking Layers
f. Output Layer
3. Deployments
a. Hugging Face
b. Google Vertex AI
