Kester is an acclaimed writer and speaker, and the author of God-like: a 500-Year History of Artificial Intelligence in myths, machines, monsters.
He is a Director at the Institute for the Future of Work, a research institute exploring how AI and automation technologies are impacting labour markets. The author of five celebrated works of non-fiction, he has twice presented at TEDx Exeter, written for The Guardian, Adbusters and the TES, and presented for BBC Radio 4. His debut novel, Middle Class, was shortlisted for the Bridport Prize in 2022.
