About this Event
The , in partnership with the at Marquette University, will host an AI ethics symposium to continue the national dialogue around the ethical concerns of AI. We will have two keynote addresses from , former deputy assistant to President Joe Biden and director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, as well as , associate professor of information science at the University of Colorado Boulder. Attendees will gain insights from a diverse array of experts through curated panel discussions and engage in moderated, thematically oriented conversations on AI ethics over lunch with their peers and speakers. There will also be several opportunities to network throughout the day. This event will be hybrid.

Poster Session (open to Marquette, UWM, and Northwestern Mutual)
As part of this year’s event, we will be hosting a research poster session/networking event highlighting AI ethics expertise from Marquette and University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee students and faculty, who will create and share posters to showcase their research projects. Participants will present to attendees and should be willing to answer questions and discuss their work. We welcome poster submissions that showcase AI and data biases and ethics. to be a part of the poster session by Sunday, Oct. 20. With questions, contact [email protected].
