About this Event
AI promises great prosperity and progress for companies and professionals in the coming decades. However, companies, especially small and medium-sized enterprises, lack well-trained staff for the widespread development of AI systems. Graduates of non-technical degree programmes, e.g. humanities, in particular are looking for a job in the AI sector. However, in order to make an informed decision about which roles suit you and which companies are interesting with your existing skills, knowledge about the AI industry is necessary. In this workshop, we would therefore like to support career changers in taking their first steps. The workshop will show how the AI ecosystem in Germany is structured and what roles there are in the industry. A highlight of the event will be a panel discussion in which career changers will talk about their transition into the AI industry.
Who is the event aimed at?
The training is aimed at people who have a genuine interest in working in the AI sector. We invite career changers who come from non-AI industries and have already gained work experience. The course is not aimed at students.
What prior knowledge is required for the event?
We do not expect any specific prior knowledge. However, it is an advantage if you have already spent a few hours familiarising yourself with the AI industry and possible jobs.
What are the intended objectives of the workshop?
- ... be able to describe the most important AI roles
- ... be able to describe the main features of the AI ecosystem with regard to career opportunities in Germany
- ... have been in dialogue with people who have already successfully mastered their career change
