OverviewThe global shift toward a responsible AI economy is set to drive transformative change across industries, create millions of jobs, and represents a multi-trillion-dollar investment opportunity by 2030. To harness this momentum, it is crucial for the global community to reach a consensus on clear, actionable goals that define success in responsible AI. The AI 2030 Workshop will bring together 100 top leaders from around the world to explore the core pillars of responsible AI and outline a collaborative path forward.
Workshop ObjectivesThis exclusive, invitation-only event will focus on turning high-level responsible AI principles into concrete action items. AI 2030 has outlined six ambitious goals that serve as guideposts for the responsible AI transformation. During the workshop, participants will examine the following goals to assess their importance and identify steps for successful implementation:
- Minimizing Hallucination in AI Systems: Track and measure AI hallucination incidents across target industries, aiming for a 90% reduction from current levels.
- Achieving Zero Catastrophic AI Failures: Maintain near-zero catastrophic failures in AI applications deployed in high-stakes settings by 2030.
- Achieving Net-Zero Emissions for AI Training: Reduce carbon emissions from AI training by 50% by 2030 and achieve net-zero by 2040.
- Achieving 50% Representation of Underrepresented Groups in AI Training Data: Ensure at least 50% of AI training data includes perspectives from underrepresented groups, encompassing a minimum of 50 diverse countries, regions, and demographic categories.
- 100% Explainability Coverage: Guarantee that all AI outputs are accompanied by easily interpretable explanations detailing the factors, data, and methods used.
- 100% Traceability: Enable tracing of every AI output back to its data sources, processing methods, and any external information used in its generation.
Key Questions to AddressParticipants will engage in discussions around essential questions, including:
- Are these goals the most critical for mainstreaming responsible AI?
- How can these goals be operationalized effectively within different sectors?
- Which organizations are best positioned to drive these efforts, and what partnerships will be essential?
