This course will prepare you to recognize and care for a variety of first aid, breathing, and cardiac emergencies involving adults, children, and infants and meets OSHA/workplace requirements. This is a blended learning course including a portion done on computer and an instructor-led classroom skill session. The computer portion must be completed before attending the in-class portion and must be taken on a PC or tablet with a high-speed Internet connection. It is the cheapest course around cause you don't have to miss a day's work to attend it. This course is great for employers too that don't want to shut down production and still have to run their day-to-day operations while providing compliance training to workers.
Our format is ideal for participants looking to maximize learning and productivity at the same time, it is self-paced and the training can be completed at your speed. The course you do before and classroom training option provides greater convenience and the content is equivalent to a traditional course with less time spent in a classroom.
Content is accessed via the AHA site which will be emailed to you once you register here. Upon successful completion of the at home portion course PRINT the completion document and bring it to the skills, hands-on, course and you will receive a digital certificate for BLS (basic life support) valid for two years.
Basic Life Support (BLS) course provides healthcare providers and public safety professionals the knowledge and skills necessary to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adult, child, and infant patients. Consistent with the 2020 AHA Guidelines for CPR/ECC, BLS is the foundational CPR/AED program typically required for healthcare providers and public safety professionals. Through the use of lectures, skills demonstration, practice, and case-based emergency response scenarios with a focus on team-based response, BLS builds the key critical thinking, problem-solving, and team dynamic skills that are needed to drive better patient outcomes. Upon successful completion of the course, learners will receive a 2-year Basic Life Support digital certificate and at any time, anywhere access to the certificate and training history.
Allow a few hours to do the academic portion at home and spend 2 hours in the classroom for BLS.
