Agrumato Olive Oil Tasting

We are honored to host the Ricci family, producers of Agrumato, your favorite fruit-forward olive oils, from Italy. They will lead an authentic tasting experience, guiding you through the art of tasting olive oil like a pro while sharing the rich history and culinary uses behind their oils. Swing by on our way home from work or on your way to dinner for this free event starting at 5:30, for a unique culinary experience in the heart of Birmingham.

Unlike typical fruit-infused or flavored oils, Agrumato is crafted through a unique method in which whole olives are simultaneously crushed with fresh, seasonal produce. This process captures the natural essential oils from the fruit zest and harmoniously blends them into a fine, extra virgin olive oil with an authentic, vibrant flavor.

• Lemon Olive Oil is a unique condiment, the first of its kind, introduced by Agrumato in the early 1990s. The crisp freshness of Agrumato Lemon is ideal for using on salads, as well as over both grilled fish or raw fish crudo. Drizzle over focaccia or use in baked goods.
• Blood Orange captures the deep flavor of Sicilian blood oranges through its unique whole-fruit crushing process. Drizzle Agrumato Blood Orange over cured meats and aged cheeses, such as pecorino, as well as on vanilla gelato or orange sorbet.
• Tangerine captures the sweet and tangy flavor of Italian tangerines through its unique whole fruit crushing process. Agrumato Tangerine is delicious on risotto with prawns, as well as paired with pork, and even used in making cakes and brownies.
