About this Event
The second Ag Tour of the 2026 Ag Tours Season will be the Agriculture and Natural Resources Tour! Please join us in exploring agricultural operations and natural resources in and around Highlands County. Learn about different agricultural commodities, meet local producers, and engage in a unique (and delicious) experience!
Registration begins at 7:30AM. The tour runs from 8:00AM to 4:30PM and we'll be back at the Ag Center by 5PM. We’ll provide transportation for the entire day.
The tour will include the following:
Getting up-close and personal with a CUPS (citrus under protective screening) grove with Dundee Agricultural Services. This is a unique opportunity to learn about a new technology from a knowledgable and innovative team.
Visiting a biochar site, where dead citrus trees are turned into biochar, a product that can be used to amend soils, filter water, and more.
Other tour stops to come - this page will be updated as needed.
We hope you will consider joining us! This is a unique opportunity to get up-close and personal with agriculture and natural resources in our community.
The ticket cost covers a steak lunch, expertly grilled by the Highlands County Cattlemen's, refreshments, and a goodie bag.
PLEASE NOTE there is a ~$8 fee when you pay via Eventbrite. To avoid paying this fee, please pay in-person at our office or via mail (4509 George Blvd, Sebring, FL, 33875).
