AGLOW is one of the largest and brightest illuminated trails in the North of England, transforming the historic gardens and grounds of Auckland Palace into a magical, festive wonderland.

Dates 21 November to 31 December 2025 (Closed Christmas Day)
Entry Times Slots are available every 30 minutes, generally from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM. The trail closes at 9:00 PM (Check specific date availability when booking).
Duration The full trail is 1.5 miles long. Visitors are recommended to allow 1.5 hours (90 minutes) to complete the trail and enjoy the attractions.

The Illuminated Attractions & Highlights
The 2025 trail is promised to be bigger, brighter, and more magical than ever, featuring over 20 incredible light displays and some of the country's largest installations:
- The Tunnel of Light: The longest outdoor light tunnel in the region, measuring over 100 metres. This iconic, immersive tunnel offers a mesmerising, sparkling walk-through experience.
- Massive Christmas Tree: Marvel at one of the tallest Christmas trees in the North of England, standing over 30 metres high.
- Dramatic Projections & Effects: The trail includes impressive pyrotechnics, lasers, and captivating light shows projected onto the Palace and throughout the parkland, including the River Gaunless and the illuminated Deer House.
- Santa's Village & Entertainment: A large festive village with a bar, food stalls, and a show area where you can see:
- Santa Claus: Making appearances to check on the children.
- His Team: Meet his lively elves, Sprocket and Stampy, and the Christmas Dragon, Crystal.
- Festive Food & Fire Pits: Enjoy a festive food fiesta with independent street food vendors offering everything from gourmet hot dogs and pizza to seasonal sweets. Warm up with mulled wine, hot chocolate, and toasted marshmallows over fire pits (card payments only).
