About this Event

Welcome back to Aggie Aviation Adventure! We offer a week's worth of aviation fun and learning!

Of course the highlight of the Aggie Aviation Adventure is to FLY! You will have the opportunity to fly in and be at the controls of one of our Diamond Air DA40 or Cessna 172 TopHawk fixed-wing aircraft. You'll feel how the airplanes respond to different conditions in the sky, and feel the thrill of flight! You will also fly in one of our Robinson R22 or R44 helicopters and experience the difference between fixed-wing and rotary flight as you take the controls!

Other activities include touring our airport and other training facilities, flying drones, building chuck gliders, flying aircraft simulators including our brand new 737 simulators, building an aircraft aluminum project and watching a jet engine test in our aviation maintenance lab, hearing from industry professionals and guest speakers, learning about flight dynamics and aviation science, and much more to round out your learning experience at Aggie Aviation Adventure.

You will stay in student housing on the campus of Utah State University close to our aviation facilities. You will enjoy some delicious meals (breakfast and dinner) served by University Catering. Lunches will be hosted by USU Aviation Student Clubs in our hangar at the airport after the morning flights and airport sessions.

This aviation camp is for participants 14-18 years of age and will start June 2, 2025 and end on June 6th at 1:30pm (mst).

R EGISTRATION INFORMATION (PLEASE READ)

  • When registering, please use the name of the participant who will be attending the camp where indicated, not the name of a parent or guardian paying for the event.

  • After registering, you will receive an email confirmation with more details. You will also receive further information in the coming months leading up to the beginning of camp.

  • Participants who weigh over 190 lbs will need to purchase the Helicopter Flight Weight Limit Charge add-on ($50.00).

  • Registration will end on May 2, 2025.

  • If registration is full, you will be given the option to be placed on a waitlist. It is NOT guaranteed that a slot will open for the 2025 AAA since it is rare that a registration is canceled, and a we simply cannot add more than the alloted amount of 36 participants. If a slot opens up, you will be notified and given 48 hours to register, after which that slot will be given to the next person on the waitlist. Those on the waitlist who are unable to register will be given priority registration for the 2026 Aggie Aviation Adventure.

  • Room sharing requests for participants wanting to share a dorm room will be taken starting May 2, so if you have someone in mind, please start thinking about that now. We cannot combine males and females (brothers or sisters) in the same room or floor per USU Housing policy.
