ABOUT RAINBOW REFUGEE AND SAFE PASSAGE
Founded in 2000, Rainbow Refugee promotes safe, equitable migration and communities of belonging for people fleeing persecution based on their sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, or HIV status.
Our Circle of Hope was formed through the Rainbow Refugee Assistance Partnership (RRAP). This is a blended sponsorship program where the government provides funds for the first three months of settlement (at social assistance rates) and we provide the next nine months. The funds raised here will go towards bringing an LGBTQ+ refugee to Vancouver where our circle will provide settlement support by helping them find housing, work, healthcare support, and hopefully building a strong community of friends!
On behalf of the Safe Passage Circle, including Kellie, Amy, Conor, Joey, James Bryce, and our mentor Patrick we would like to that you for your support in helping to change the life of an LGBTQ+ asylum seeker starting a new life in Vancouver, Canada!
