$Afternoon Nature \u201cDuck Walk\u201d and Trash Pickup at Davis Lake\/Bicentennial Greenway$

Bring your binoculars and a trash bag to combine a leisurely stroll along the paved paths around Davis Lake and the Bicentennial Greenway! We will scout for visiting winter ducks, which may include Bufflehead, Hooded Merganser, Gadwall, and Ruddy. This is usually a reliable location to see Cormorants and Great Blue Herons in the winter as well.
While walking, for those who wish to participate, we will also collect trash near the path and water. We will provide disposable gloves and will have a few trash grabbers on hand.
We will be walking along a paved walkway that is mostly flat. There is a shelter near the lake with a picnic table, where we can rest and scan the water for any birds. As always, we will also take note of trees and plants as we meander.
This area is accessed off Piedmont Parkway, which intersects Wendover Ave. as well as Eastchester Dr. in High Point. The closest address for your GPS is 4160 Mendenhall Oaks Pkwy, High Point, 27265. Turn into the parking lot across from the Creative Snacks Co. building and park across from the Ryan Scott Displays building.
