October 5, 2025: His poetic rhythm is addictive. His few words provoke memory and linger. Minimalist poet John Yamrus—always an entertaining guest—will share his latest books including the quirky memoir "Captain Beefheart Never Licked My Decals Off, Baby", his “artistic journey,” and tips for success that have sustained him as a working writer for over 50 years with more than 40 published books, hundreds of published articles, and thousands of poems.
October 12, 2025: Artists Look at People: The Portrait. Interest in faces begins when we are babies, for practical and obvious reasons, and continues throughout our lives. Most of us enjoy people watching and even sharing our personal photos with one another. Long before snapshots, Facebook, there were quick charcoal/pencil sketches and especially portrait paintings. We’ll take a look at how master artists from the past & present have created their images of both real & imagined people, as well as their own (self) portraits.
October 19, 2025: Meet & Greet Kaitlynn Taylor of The Kitty Salvation, a nonprofit, who will bring a few of the unique kittens in her rescue who are looking for their forever homes.
October 26, 2025: What if support made all the difference? Neurodivergent young adults, including those with Autism, ADHD, and AuDHD, face far higher risks of suicide, and many never complete a college degree or maintain stable employment—but with the right program of support, they can thrive. Meeting this urgent need is the mission of Michele Barrett and Diane Hallman, two mothers who have faced extraordinary challenges raising children whose unique gifts come with these diagnoses. Today, they are creating Pathways to Purpose, a groundbreaking, world-class college and career transition program to empower neurodivergent young adults (18–26) in Pennsylvania with skills, support, and structure.
November 2, 2025: Artist Barbara Post will share background and stories about Centenarians in the Arts—All the Arts--Writing, Dance, for example, to inspire our own artistic journeys in our senior years.
November 9, 2025: Julie Longacre has a long and beloved career creating art, writing books, inspiring others. Join us as she shares her artistic journey.
November 16, 2025: Diane O’Sullivan, transplant to the Boyertown area from New Jersey, has created a long-awaited book— "Bear Fever: It’s Catching", Chapter #1 featuring 61 Bear Fever bears located in town. She’s spent months researching, writing, taking photos and has stories to tell about what she’s learned. Chapter #2 is planned for 2026 to feature the out-of-town sculptures.
November 23, 2025: "What happened to YOU?" is the prompt for a reading, writing, sharing session with Sandra Williams. Inspired by Ray Bradbury's fictional memoir Dandelion Wine, participants will reflect on moments in their lives that provided guidance for their lives, insight into others', and--in deep, powerful ways--somehow changed them.
