🌊💚 After the Storm: Community Riparian Restoration Event 💚🌊Join us for an evening of learning, connection, and action as we come together to heal our rivers and streams after Hurricane Helene.
đź“… Monday, September 15
🕔 5–7 PM
📍 Union Street Taproom, Erwin, TN
Hosted by the Nolichucky Outdoor Recreation Association (NORA), this event will feature experts from the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service (FWS), and the Tennessee Department of Forestry.
Together, we’ll explore:
How our waterways were impacted during Helene
Streambank restoration techniques and best practices
Available funding and resources for landowners
Ways to strengthen long-term resilience in our watershed
NORA also recently brought these experts into the field to visit local landowners, ensuring the guidance they share will be tailored to the unique needs of our community.
Come ready to learn, ask questions, and connect with neighbors who care about the health of our rivers.
🌊 This is a free event and open to the public. All community members, landowners, and outdoor enthusiasts are encouraged to attend.
Let’s build resilience together—because when our rivers are strong, so is our community. 💚🌱
