Location: YDL-Whittaker (Computer Lab)Learn how to make cool things with a 3D printer!
Kids will learn how 3D printers work and how to design their own projects through hands-on experience. We will use a free website called Tinkercad to make our own designs. You’ll get to make things like a name tag, a keychain, and your own special project. Library staff will print your designs for pickup the next week.
We will meet once a week for three weeks. Each session is about one hour long. Please plan to come to all three sessions so you don’t miss anything.
This series is designed with kids ages 8-12 in mind.
Participants should be able to:
✔ Use a computer mouse and keyboard
✔ Follow step-by-step instructions
✔ Work independently for short periods
✔ Ask for help when needed
✔ Show patience. Printing takes time!
All materials are provided. The library is closed Tuesday, November 11, for Veterans Day.
