Are you a parent looking to help your middle schooler deepen their critical thinking through hands-on learning, and develop a relationship with nature? Apricot Lane Farms invites students ages 12-14 to a unique, 4-week learning journey where curiosity meets nature on a working Biodynamic® farm.
Guided by ALF’s Head of School, Shawna Snow, students will explore the biodynamic principle of respecting animals. This immersive experience provides students with direct access to the farm, allowing them to observe, interact, and discover how a respectful relationship with animals supports the health of the whole ecosystem.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
- Understand the priciple of "respecting animals" in Biodynamic farming
- Develop critical thinking and observation skills
- Foster a deeper respect for the interconnectedness of nature and animals
- Learn how to follow curiosity in a structured, holistic way
COURSE DETAILS:
Timeframe: January 13 - February 5, 2025 (4 weeks)
Schedule: Mondays & Wednesdays, 3:00 - 4:30 PM
Location: The Farm School at Apricot Lane Farms
Cost: $800 (cash or credit card payments accepted)
