After school comic and manga class for middle and high school students with teaching artist Aubrey Rodgers. Four sessions in total, Tuesdays, April 8, 15, 22, and 29 from 4:00-5:30pm. Spaces are limited to 12 students.
In this program, students will create a mini comic. The students will meet once a week on Tuesdays after school. They will learn how to design characters and tell a story visually with drawings. We will document our work and make a mini documentary about our process. On the first Friday in May, there will be a showcase this will correlate with Free Comic Book Day that following Saturday.
Supplies included. This class is free and made possible by the Van Buren Youth Initiative. Registration can be found on the classes tab of our website at southhavenarts.org
