Celebrate the everyday women and their contributions in shaping our families, communities and nation on this after hours tour.
About this Event

From artists Georgette Chen and Han Sai Por to missionary and founder of Methodist Girls’ School, Sophia Blackmore, the contributions of the inductees in the Singapore Women’s Hall of Fame are inscribed in our urban landscape. But how much of their stories do we know? And what about the everyday women who work tirelessly behind the scenes to keep our country going? Find answers to all these questions on this after hours alk celebrating women in Singapore!

Meet your guide, May!

Hello everyone, it’s me, May! In the many, many tours that I give (I am a licensed tourist guide and a docent at over 10 museums), I’ve noticed that the stories of women are often not featured prominently. I feel that it is important for Singaporeans to be aware of their contributions as women have contributed in significant and meaningful ways to our nation’s progress!

This tour discusses how women have played and continue to play a vital role in our national history. Juxtaposing women of the past and women of the present, join me to view this iconic district through a different lens as we take a leisurely stroll after hours!
